Fats, Oils & Grease (fogs) are a by-product of the food prepared and served in restaurants, takeaways, pubs, hotels, & delis. They originate from vegetable oils, butter, sauces, & animal fats in the cooking process which if not correctly treated can block sewers & drains, attract vermin and lead to noxious dangerous odours & gases. How Does It Work?

Drainshield's wastewater conditioner is a molecular coating technology that tackles FOG (fats, oils & grease) on contact which builds up in grease traps, pipes, drains, lift stations, sewers and wastewater treatment plants.
In ready to use liquid form, it is applied in exact doses at FOG hotspots to improve FOG collection, without negative effects on the downstream collection system and treatment processes.
It works synergistically with beneficial microbes while not acting as an emulsifier. Unlike competing technologies, Drainshield's wastewater conditioner alters FOG irreversibly - it will not re-solidify which hugely improves the efficiency and performance of retention units and passive systems.
It contains no bacteria or enzymes which are believed to reform downstream. Because it relies purely on the molecular coating of FOG, it works 100% of the time regardless of conditions, eliminates hydrogen sulfite, captures volatile organic compounds, mercaptans/thiols and other noxious gases and leaves behind a pleasantly-sweet smelling fruity aroma.
